This matrix form is derived and applied to time integration of a barotropic limited area model, the DYNAMO model. We start from a matrix formulation for DYNAMO model, which is described as a non-linear matrix differential equation. It can be solved by an analycal non-modal, matrix solution. The Helmholtz wind field reconstruction is made by using the singular value decomposition in conection with Moore-Penrose generalized inverse. %N 9 %9 journal article %@secondarydate 19960821 %T A nonmodal approach for time-integration of a barotropic limited area mode %@nexthigherunit 8JMKD3MGPCW/3ESGTTP %K COMPUTACAO APLICADA, nonmodal matrix, singular value decomposition, time integration, meteorological models. %@secondarytype PRE PI %@archivingpolicy denypublisher denyfinaldraft24 %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup jefferson %@group LAC-INPE-MCT-BR %@secondarykey INPE-5949-NTC/324 %F 7330 %@issn 0898-1221 %2 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/07.29.03.38 %@affiliation %@affiliation Instituto de Matem£tica Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil %B Computers and Mathematics with Applications %@versiontype publisher %P 1-13 %4 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/07.29.03.37.59 %@documentstage not transferred %D 1997 %V 33 %@doi 10.1016/S0898-1221(97)00062-X %A Campos Velho, Haroldo Fraga de, %A Claeyssen, Julio Cesar Ruiz, %@dissemination PORTALCAPES %@area COMP
