We have used simple exponential atmospheric conductivity models, together with the ion production rates determined from balloon and rocket measurements in the SAMA. An upper limit to this influence was also calculated and compared with the normal diurnal variation of the fair-weather electric field due to the diurnal variation of the global thunderstorm activity. %8 Jan. %N 1 %@secondarydate 20000125 %T On the effect of electron precipition on the fair-weather electric field %@electronicmailaddress osmar@dge.inpe.br %@electronicmailaddress iara@dge.inpe.br %@electronicmailaddress gonzalez@dge.inpe.br %K geofísica espacial, atlântico sul, eletricidade atmosférica, anomalias magnéticas, South Atlantic Magnetic Anomaly (SAMA), electron precipitation, middle latitudes, global thunderstorm activity. %@secondarytype PRE PI %@archivingpolicy denypublisher denyfinaldraft24 %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup banon %@usergroup jefferson %@group DGE-INPE-BR %@group DGE-INPE-BR %@group DGE-INPE-BR %@secondarykey INPE-7386-PRE/3276 %F 8734 %@issn 1364-6826 %2 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/07.29.22.06.58 %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) %@project PROJETO ELAT %B Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics %@versiontype publisher %P 21-22 %4 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/07.29.22.06.52 %@documentstage not transferred %D 1990 %V 52 %A Pinto Jr., Osmar, %A Pinto, Iara Regina Cardoso de Almeida, %A Gonzalez, Walter Demetrio, %@dissemination WEBSCI; PORTALCAPES; AGU; MGA; COMPENDEX. %@area CEA
