Paulista (22.7 S, 45.0 W). Monthly averaged nocturnal variations calculated from the data from 1987 to 1993 were used to study the influence of atmospheric dynamical processes on these emissions. Harmonic analysis revealed that the Cachoeira Paulista data are mainly represented 12 hour period oscillation. Phase differences between the different emissions reveal that the vertical phase velocity is about 4 km/h and the vertical wavelength about 50 km. Fortaleza data on the other f. showed longer period, 24 hours, slow vertical propagation velocity, 1.1 km/h, and short veil wavelength, about 30 km. These facts lead us to conclude that the Cachoeira Paulista data are mainly controlled by the semidiurnal tidal oscillation and the Fortaleza data are controlled by the diurnal tide. %N 6 %@secondarydate 20010724 %T Dynamical influence on the equatorial airglow observed from the South American Sector %K AERONOMIA, America do Sul, emissao atmosférica, ondas, mares, luminescência, atmosférica equatorial, atmospheric emission, tides (tidal oscillation), equatorial atmosphere, airglow (atmosphere emission). %@secondarytype PRE PI %@archivingpolicy denypublisher denyfinaldraft24 %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup jefferson %@group DAE-INPE-MCT-BR %@group DAE-INPE-MCT-BR %@group DAE-INPE-MCT-BR %@group %@group DAE-INPE-MCT-BR %@secondarykey INPE-8328-PRE/4111 %F 9299 %@issn 0273-1177 %2 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/07.29.22.40.48 %B Advances in Space Research %@versiontype publisher %P 817-825 %4 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/07.29.22.40.40 %@documentstage not transferred %D 1998 %V 21 %A Takahashi, Hisao, %A Gobbi, Delano, %A Batista, Paulo Prado, %A Melo, S.
