Electron-density height profiles from two of the experiments, one daytime, and one nighttime, are representative of quiet equatorial ionospheric conditions whereas for the third experiment the rocket was launched into a nighttime ionosphere that was disturbed by a developing plasma bubble event. Agreement between experimental results and the IRI predictions for the quiet day and night densities varies with height. Comparisons are also made with electron densities obtained from the semi-empirical Low Latitude Ionospheric Model (SLIM). %N 8 %@secondarydate 20010724 %T Rocket-borne measurements of equatorial ionospheric eletron densities and their comparison with IRI-10 predictions %K AERONOMIA, altas frequencias, densidade eletronica ionosférica, instrumentos (a bordo) do foguete, instrumentos de medida, bolhas de plasma, high frequencies, ionospheric electron density, rocket-borne instruments, measuring instruments, plasma bubles, International Reference Ionosphere, IRI. %@secondarytype PRE PI %@archivingpolicy denypublisher denyfinaldraft24 %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup jefferson %@group DAE-INPE-BR %@group DAE-INPE-BR %@group DAE-INPE-BR %@group DAE-INPE-BR %@secondarykey INPE-8329-PRE/4112 %F 9300 %@issn 0273-1177 %2 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/07.29.22.41.19 %B Advances in Space Research %@versiontype publisher %P 41-44 %4 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/07.29.22.41 %@documentstage not transferred %D 1990 %V 10 %A Abdu, Mangalathayil Ali, %A Muralikrishna, Polinaya, %A Paula, Eurico Rodrigues de, %A Kantor, Ivan Jelinek, %@dissemination WEBSCI; PORTALCAPES; MGA; COMPENDEX. %@area CEA
