%0 Journal Article %X The performance of the NORAD models for near Earth satellites (SGP, SGP4, SGP8)using two Brazilian flying satellites, SCD-1 and SCD-2, and the Chinese-Brazilian satellite CBERS-1 is compared. The achievable accuracy of such models is compared against the predicted 2-lines elements set for the satellites. Every week an updated fresh set of 2-lines elements for these satellites is made available through the Internet. About ten years of observations of the SCD-1 satellite are available and therefore solar activity influences on the orbit can be analyzed. Data are selected considering also orbital (for CBERS-1)and attitude (for SCD-2)maneuvers. %8 July %N 2 %T Orbital propagation for Brazilian satellites using NORAD models %@nexthigherunit 8JMKD3MGPCW/446AF4B %@secondarytype PRE PI %K ENGENHARIA E TECNOLOGIA ESPACIAL, SCD 1, SDC 2, NORAD models, two line elements, orbit propagation. %@archivingpolicy denypublisher denyfinaldraft24 %@usergroup administrator  %@usergroup banon  %@usergroup jefferson %@group %@group DMC-INPE-MCT-BR %3 1-s2.0-S0273117702003034-main.pdf %@secondarykey INPE-9176-4849 %F 10086 %@issn 0273-1177 %2 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/08.03.22.15.14 %B Advances in Space Research %@versiontype publisher %P 331-335 %4 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/08.03.22.15 %@documentstage not transferred %D 2002 %V 30 %@doi 10.1016/S0273-1177(02)00303-4 %O COSPAR Scientific Assembly, 16-23 July, 2000, Varsóvia, Polônia. %A Moraes, Rodolpho Vilhena de, %A Kuga, Hélio Koiti, %A Campos, Daniela Yara, %@dissemination WEBSCI; PORTALCAPES; MGA; COMPENDEX. %@area ETES %@holdercode {isadg {BR SPINPE} ibi 8JMKD3MGPCW/3DT298S}
