The system allows the measurement of the radial in-plane displacement field generated when a specimen subjected to residual stresses is locally heated. This novel approach for measuring residual stresses has the advantage of being nondestructive and can be easily applied to in situ tests. The description of the combined system is followed by the presentation of preliminary results which illustrate the ability of both techniques to quantify residual stress fields and also to determine their principal directions. %8 July %N 1 %@secondarydate 20020912 %T Residual stress measurement using a radial in-plane speckle interferometer and laser annealing: preliminary results %@electronicmailaddress %@electronicmailaddress suterio@lit.inpe.br %@electronicmailaddress %@electronicmailaddress guille@ifir.edu.ar %K digital speckle pattern interferometry, residual stresses, nondestructive evaluation, laser annealing, radial interferometer. %@secondarytype PRE PI %@usergroup administrator %@usergroup jefferson %@group %@group LIT-INPE-MCT-BR %3 1-s2.0-S0143816603000691-main.pdf %F 10673 %@issn 0143-8166 %2 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/08.04.04.34.52 %@affiliation Instituto de Física Rosario (CONICET-UNR), Rosario, Argentina %@affiliation Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) / Laboratório de Metrologia e Automação, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina %@affiliation Laboratório de Metrologia e Automação, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina %@affiliation Instituto de Física Rosario (CONICET-UNR), Rosario, Argentina / Departamento de Fisica, Facultad de Ciencias Exactas, Ingeniería y Agrimensura, Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Rosario, Argentina %B Optics and Lasers in Engineering %@versiontype publisher %P 71–84 %4 sid.inpe.br/iris@1905/2005/08.04.04.34 %@documentstage not transferred %D 2004 %V 42 %@doi 10.1016/S0143-8166(03)00069-1 %A Viotti, Matías R., %A Sutério, Ricardo, %A Albertazzi Jr., Armando, %A Kaufmann, Guillermo H., %@dissemination WEBSCI %@area ETES
